Served the design and building industry for more than 25 years with a multidisciplinary vision of architecture, interiors and landscape. Has managed small-mid size residential developments, wellness-spa centres and projects of parks and gardens from the inception to the completion and administration, designing at different scales, always with a focus on a human-centered approach, from building renewal to custom made furniture.
In these recent years has developed a knowledge in sustainable design retrofit solutions following several seminars and lectures. In addition to his project responsibilities, has successfully navigated the complex bureaucracy of Italian building regulations liaising with local and state level authorities identifying and implementing procedures to assure a consistent quality of documents.
In the last 15 years, due to a profound knowledge of the market, has developed a complimentary activity in the real estate business identifying new opportunities of investment and acting as a facilitator in the forming of collaborative Anglo/Italian ventures.
As a Property consultant has handled research and appraisal of properties, building estimates and planned feasibility studies for the reconversion of residential and commercial developments.
He collaborates regularly with English law firms advising during technical Due Diligence procedures.
Throughout his career, has organized exhibitions, written several articles and published the only technical vocabulary Italian-English for Architecture, Construction and Real estate with the Gruppo24Ore with whom he has a column on the web portal Archinfo.it on Green and Sustainable technologies.
Has certainly influenced hundreds of young architects and artists through teaching positions at the University of Florence, Texas A&M University, Art Center College of Design and Studio Art College International in Florence, Italy, where he has held for ten years the position of Architecture & Design Area Head.
A graduate of the University of Florence with a Laurea in Architecture holds a professional architectural registration in Italy and a membership as a chartered architect of the RIBA Royal Institute of British Architects.
